Tens of Lod Graves Targeted by Metal Thieves
When members of the chevra kadisha arrived in the new Lod cemetery on erev shabbos, they were shocked to find dozens of graves had been vandalized, apparently by thieves who removed the copper housings for yahrzeit lights.Police responded, explaining it appears they were after the precious metal which they sell by weight.
